What´s Raising Intonation?

 RAISING INTONATION It occurs when the voice rises at the end of the sentence. It is used to express confirmed or yes and no questions, doubts and lists. Examples: Questions Yes or No: Are you ready? Surprise or doubt: Really?

Concepts of Voiced and Unvoiced sounds

  VOICED SOUNDS The vocal cords vibrate when you make these sounds. Example:  /b/ as in bat /d/ as in dog /g/ as in go /z/ as in zoo All vowel sounds like /a/, /e/, /i/, etc. UNVOICED SOUNDS  The vocal cords do not vibrate. Example:  /p/ as in pat /t/ as in top /k/ as in cat /s/ as in sun
